Appropriate War is a series of tools that tackle complacency and passivity in our society. Part artistic expression and part individual protest, I have appropriated and reconfigured contemporary mainstream and independent media in an attempt to discover a new fantastical and morbid truth. These tools operate by revealing themselves to the public in unexpected places: on a train, in a bus station, or online. This naked and instantaneous form of awareness is the first step towards behavioral change.
